Wednesday Morning Meditation
Meditation is the true heart of Yoga. It is the pinnacle practice for which the other techniques are preparing us. It has the power to heal, illuminate, and give insight. It can empower us with new capacities and strengths, and it is essentially connected to who we are at our core.
Practiced appropriately, meditation can help us develop a deep, calm, and stable focus and also return us back to our most authentic self. These are core elements of developing and maintaining balance and a positive state of wellbeing.
Sustainable change only happens with regular practice, but as you’ve probably experienced, it can be difficult to attempt or commit to alone. Our weekly Wednesday Morning Meditations can be very helpful in supporting you to develop the habit of a regular practice.

What You Will Learn
Through regular participation in this class, you will
- Gain an experiential understanding of meditation and how it works
- Sample a wide variety of meditation experiences
- Learn different ways to properly prepare for meditation

- Appreciate the subtle potency of meditation in your life
Join us each Wednesday morning for a live, 30-minute, guided meditation. Our Executive Director, Chase Bossart, begins with gentle preparation incorporating a variety of Yoga tools including: gentle, physical postures (āsana), conscious breathing (prāṇāyama), mantra and/or sound, and Vedic chanting.
Each month, we choose a new focus for the meditations that month. Often it is an object, like the sun, an oak tree, or a pure stream. Sometimes it’s a concept or reflection, past examples include friendship and the serenity prayer. It may even be a sound, a sensation or something else!. — Everything brings something different to the meditation and thus generates different experiences. Results vary with each meditation and with each meditator and are often related to your personal life experience.
Over time, with regular participation, you will discover a lot about meditation and yourself.

I am thankful for feeling peaceful.
We did a meditation using 4 phases of the moon…The movement & prāṇāyama really quieted my mind & allowed a new acceptance of a current life circumstance for me… I am thankful for feeling peaceful, allowing solutions to arise without forcing them.
