What You Will Learn

During this retreat, designed for all levels and abilities, you will be guided in supportive yoga, chanting, meditation, reflection, visioning, nature walks, journaling, and creative expression to identify limiting and unhelpful patterns in your day to day life. 

Chase Bossart, JennyO and Amanda Green will join their expertise together to seamlessly weave a weekend full of connection, community and integration of sacred philosophical truths, practical yoga teachings, light-hearted story-telling, connection and community. 

Chase will guide you through the great Indian epics, the Mahabharata/ Bhagavad Gita, and Ramayana where one sentence holds vast amounts of  information while simultaneously expressing simple truths on how to live well. JennyO and Amanda will lead explorations of creative expression, for those who enjoy it, or just want to give it a try! You are welcome to participate in everything offered, or at any time, you may choose instead replenishing reflection. 

All three will guide gentle, healing yoga practices that explore and uncover patterns we weave in everyday life-in our movement, thinking and our emotions. 

You will leave with new patterns,  fresh perspectives and insight that weave your tapestry with more ease and grace. You will integrate simple teachings that create sustainable transformation for living a purposeful, meaningful  and satisfying life.

While the yoga center is stocked with props, please bring your own yoga mat and aids as well as a journal for taking notes.

The rolling land, beautified by the meandering stream creates the perfect environment for exploring, walking along their many paths, self reflection and meditation.

Chase Bossart

Executive Director of the Yoga Well Institute, Chase has been studying Yoga, Sanskrit, eastern philosophy and religion for nearly 30 years.

In 1991, as part of a study abroad program in Chennai, India, Chase took a semester-long course on Yoga Theory with Mr. TKV Desikachar that essentially set the direction for the rest of his life. He became a private student of Mr. Desikachar, who was his mentor and teacher for 20+ years. During that time, he spent a total of four and a half years in Chennai studying with him, his family and his senior teachers. He also had the opportunity to serve as a teacher at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. From 2006-2012, he was the Director of Therapy and Education at the non-profit Healing Yoga Foundation in San Francisco.

His depth of knowledge on yoga and meditation are shared through practical, humorous anecdotes that translate to everyday life.


JennyO is a Yoga Teacher Trainer, and a Yoga Therapist Trainer and holds certifications as a Yoga Therapist- (C-IAYT),  E-RYT 500 in Hatha Yoga, a RYT 500 hour in Kundalini Yoga, and holds advanced certifications in specialized modalities of  iRest, Restorative, Pre and Postnatal, Radiant Child,Yoga for Cancer Survivors and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She continues her studies with Indigenous groups in Shamanism with Maria Elaina. She holds a Masters in Human Resources and continues her yoga studies as a personal student of Chase Bossart and studies Ayurveda under the tutelage of Elizabeth Cunningham Bossart.

Amanda Green

Amanda took her first yoga class in 2001 and has been practicing ever since. After moving from Seattle to Austin in 2010, she enrolled in a hatha yoga teacher-training program and soon after completion, she began teaching yoga full-time. Amanda met her teacher and mentor, Chase Bossart in 2011. At this time, her yoga practice took a turn toward a more gentle and therapeutic approach and her yoga study expanded to embrace the broader teachings of yoga. Yogic philosophy and texts, practices including āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breathing techniques), meditation, vedic chanting and the practical application of the tools of yoga for therapy are all a part of Amanda’s ongoing practice and study.

Amanda’s teaching style is down-to-earth, clear and practical. She candidly relates yogic concepts to life experiences. In this way, yoga practice becomes a deeply personal journey and a means to live a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Amanda is a graduate of the YATNA yoga therapy program and an IAYT-certified yoga therapist. She offers individual yoga therapy to students in Austin, TX and online. Amanda is a mentor to yoga therapy students in YogaWell and Yoga Yoga programs, and offers lectures and classes in her local and online community. When Amanda isn’t teaching, you can find her hanging out with her awesome family, gardening, painting, or singing karaoke, usually out of tune.
