Jim Walther, RYT
Senior Teacher
(Jim teaches mostly Ashtanga-style classes but he is a wealth of information which he never hesitates to share with students. YTT's especially consider him a gem.)

In the mid 90's Jim began practicing yoga to increase his flexibility and endurance while training for a marathon. He was drawn to the more strenuous Ashtanga-Hatha style practice, which emphasizes strength and athletic ability as well as balance and flexibility. Although primarily an ashtanga practitioner he was also influenced by Iyengar, Vini and various other Hatha yoga traditions. Jim has attended various yoga conferences, retreats and workshops, studying with David Swenson, Baron Baptiste and Dana Pare. He completed the Tim Miller teacher training course in Ashtanga Yoga in 2005. Jim has been a certified yoga instructor since 2002, teaching ashtanga-based and eclectic yoga classes. He recently completed his 500 hour teacher certification through YogaWell's Institute of Progressive Therapies.
